The Practice does not routinely issue letters for periods of sickness that may occur during your term time, for your University/College. If you require a letter regarding your health problems, then this can be done by the GP, but you will be charged £20.00 or more for any such letter. Please allow five to seven working days before collecting your letter. Please note requests for letters to state you are unfit to sit your exams must be requestedvia a routine appointment or telephone consultation with the doctor. These types of requests are not classed as an emergency.
Emergency appointments must not be used for this type of request.
All letter requests must now be paid in advance, this is due to the high volume of patients who request letters, but then fail to collect them.
